Roulette and Texas Hold ’em Poker. The gaming market in Slovenia is very

fragmented. Hit faces competition from over 30 privately owned slot halls, although there are (beside Hit casinos) just three other casinos that offer both slots and live tables. The Group’s properties close to the Italian and Austrian borders face competition from operators in each of these countries. Regarding competition to Hit’s casinos, there are few providers that attract clients from the same markets, like Casinò di Venezia (ITA) and Casino Velden (AUT).

A Hit for Europe? During 2005, Hit Group held discussions with

Harrah’s Entertainment to build a US$700m casino resort in Nova Gorica. Although this project did not materialise, it shows the level of ambition the Hit Group has to grow its operations in a socially responsible manner.
