Sparkling Hill Resort
The much anticipated resort perched on a granite hillcrest near Vernon is opening April 30, 2010 and after taking a sneak peek at the fi nishing details, it is living up to and beyond expectations. Sparkling Hill Resort said it was going to be spectacular and it is exactly that. And it all starts with the shimmer of light caught and refracted by thousands of Swarovski Crystal Elements. Just walking in the powerful entrance carved into the granite bedrock brings out the wow factor!
Sunlight fl oods the lobby from 64 panes of glass that look and act like a brilliant crystal. Catching the rays is a shimmer of crystals raining from the top of the three story atrium. But it doesn’t stop there; soft lighting enhanced by crystals illuminate the entire resort, from the fi replaces in the guest rooms to the peaceful tea and relaxation rooms of the spa, to the romantic table for two in the dining room overlooking Lake Okanagan.
Fresh fruits and vegetables bought from local producers will grace the tables in the premiere restaurant, PeakFine. With a wine list in the Barrique lounge heavily favouring the wines of the valley, it will become a favourite for connoisseurs.
Heavily infl uenced by wellness resorts in Europe, Sparkling Hill is promoted as a place to rejuvenate and recharge in a
concept called - Whole Body Wellness. During your stay you are encouraged to pamper your mind, body and senses in the expansive KurSpa.
The KurSpa that encompasses an entire wing of Sparkling Hill Resort has a menu of over 100 treatments; each specifically designed to refresh and rejuvenate the body. Some examples of traditional treatments off ered are massage, wraps, reflexology, aromatherapy and a com- plete aesthetics program. But then, the resort presents some very intriguing treatments absolutely new to North America including the Cold Sauna with temperatures of minus -110 Celsius. YES! Minus 110!
Additionally there are seven diff erent sauna and steam rooms for guests to indulge in. Each off ers diff erent tempera- tures from hot to cold with a variety of scents, textures and stimulants to promote rejuvenation, relaxation, energy, restoration, and enjoyment.
