At YLW, planes just keep getting bigger! Last September there was the landing of the world’s second largest cargo aircraft from Russia – the Antonov 124 delivered 3 helicopters for retrofi tting at Kelowna Flightcraft; on December 24th the largest passenger load to ever depart YLW on one aircraft - 246 passengers and three babies left on an Air Transat A310 for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and most recently in February YLW’s largest passenger aircraft yet a B767-300 landed in Kelowna non-stop from Moscow, Russia to drop off the Russian biathlon team who were training in the Okanagan prior to competing at the 2010 Olympic winter games.
