CRP gets busy helping put the fizz into
Sodastream Sodastream is a name that was recognised in households across the nation in the 1970s and 1980s with its "Get busy with the fizzy" tagline. Its massive re-launch last year enticed a whole new generation of drinkers with a powerful Christmas in-store POS executed by CRP. CRP has been working with Sodastream for the last twelve months in preparation for the ‘Best Christmas Present in the World’ in-store POS campaign to ensure a design befitting of the new sleek appliance and accessories. The Floor stand was both designed and co packed by CRP to hold a full start up kit of drink makers, twin bottle packs and start up flavour packs. Strong visual impact was achieved through striking graphics and branding and four-colour print. The units were delivered direct to store and were displayed throughout the Christmas period in Argos and Comet stores. For more information call 01536 200 333, email

High-speed MAP
baggers for KP Nuts KP Nuts at Rotherham has installed two high speed PFM Comet continuous motion bagging machines, to raise production on a range of nuts and nut-based products in modified atmosphere packs of 100 to 500g, at production speeds up to 135 a minute. The new machines, which offer a top speed of 180 bags a minute, replace older and slower equipment and were chosen after a four-week performance trial against competitive baggers. "The PFM machine worked quietly, smoothly and efficiently, like a Swiss watch," reports Colin Hipwell, project engineering manager at KP Nuts. Both are fully enclosed, to prevent dust entering the film path and detracting from seal quality, while gear-driven rotary sealing jaws allow hermetic
seals for MAP to be achieved on metallised film at high speed. KP produces normal pillow packs and bags with an extended seal area carrying a Euroslot. For more information call 0113 2393401, email
