Weaverville

Mountain Massage Studios offers relaxed atmosphere

By Matt Tate One door closes, another one

opens. Tat’s the story of Mountain Mas-

sage Studios in Weaverville, the new business that opened following the closing of Secret Garden Inn and Spa late last year. Former Secret Garden masseuses

Kelly Gilmore and Caroline Hobson are behind the new studio. When the Secret Garden shuttered its doors, both decided they wanted to stay close to many of their clients in Weaverville. “It was a natural, easy transition,”

Hobson said. Te duo transformed the space

behind Preservation Hall on North Main Street into a relaxed, soothing studio. Tey have a combined 25 years of

experience and offer a variety of ser- vices, including hot stone techniques, reflexology and other practices that mix Western and Eastern elements. Couples massages are also offered. Te two are also excited to be grow-

ing their business in a community like Weaverville. “It’s nice to be a part of such a close-

knit community,” Gilmore said. For more information on Mountain

Massage, go to mountainmassagestu- dios.com or email ckmassage1@gmail. com.

Mountain Massage Studios

will have an open house from 1 pm to 4 pm on Nov. 7 during the Weaverville Art Safari. Te studio is located behind Pres- ervation Hall at the corner of Hamburg Mountain Road and North Main Street.

Kelly Gilmore, right, and Carolina Hobson focus on healing mind and body in their new business.
