Skinny Pantry Offers Honey to Battle Allergies
I
n sunny Southwest Florida, allergy suf- ferers can face year-round challenges
from seasonal plants and flowers that bloom all the time. Instead of taking an- tihistamines, with their side effects of dry eyes and drowsiness, the Skinny Pantry, in Fort Myers, suggests giving local honey a try. The store says that two teaspoons a day can work like a vaccination, gradu- ally exposing the body to pollens in order to build up natural antibodies that help avoid reactions to blooming plants. The Skinny Pantry offers a variety
of honey brands and flavors, including Melaleuca/Brazilian Pepper Honey.
Location: 11356 S. Cleveland Ave. For more info, call 239-935-5093, visit The-
SkinnyPantry.com or visit the store. See ad, page 25.
