ker, one of which is the snuffer, which stows the sail in a long fabric tube. Gaining rapidly in popularity is the trend to- wards an asymmetric spinnaker that you can roll/furl away. The tack of the spinnaker is attached with a furling system to a short bowsprit and although it is not possible to sail dead downwind with these sails it has made spinnaker handling even easier for the cruising sailor.
