easonal greetings from Ed, Chris, Anje & Eva at Dartmouth Wine Co. Here’s a few suggestions of Christmas tipples to make you feel festive inside as well as outside. These are just a few handpicked suggestions but, as I am sure you all understand, we have fantastic quality drinks to suit every budget. H1 Mamont Vodka: £28.95 Five times distilled Siberian premium vodka. Smooth, sophisticated, warming, clean and flavoursome. Vodka that even non-vodka lovers seem to enjoy. Perfect after a long winter’s walk!
H2 Cattier Brut Champagne: £19.99 House champagne at the Ritz and in British Airways business class. Light, crisp, dry, gentle, approachable and yet sophisticated champagne with a fine mousse, long finish and not so sophisticated price. Perfect for that social gathering or whilst opening presents.
H3 Gosset Grand Reserve Champagne Brut: £38.95. A full-flavoured biscuity champagne from the oldest champagne house! Made with Pinot Noir/Chardonnay and beautifully presented in a Victorian style bottle. A top quality, rich, sipping wine with real style! Perfect aperitif to a Christmas dinner.
H4 Step Road Sauvignon Blanc, Adelaide Hills, South Australia: £4.50 Inexpensive, fresh, lively white with zesty citrus and tropical fruit flavours. Perfect party wine or with white meat/fish.
H5 Fox Gordon Abby Viognier, Mount Crawford Forest, South Australia: £8.50 Hand picked, low yield, mouth filling, luxurious white from this prolific producer. With flavours of stewed pears & quinces. A full-flavoured white! Ideal with lighter game, goose or turkey & trimmings!
H6 Montellano Rioja Tempranillo: £6.50 Made by the respected wine maker Ramon Bilbao. Aromas of ripe red fruit & blackberry with soft fruit in the mouth. This is an extremely sociable wine, great with friends or with lighter meat dishes or maybe even that Yuletide bird again.
H7 Botham Merril-Willis Shiraz, Mclaren Vale, South Australia: £10.95 Toasted, oaky concentrated fruit, youthful
structure with fine tannins and spicy, peppery undertones. This is a whole lot of wine that is becoming more characterful with age. Great with red meat or stronger flavoured cheeses.

H8 Las Moras Late Picked Viognier Mendoza, Argentina: £7.50 Mouth-watering sweet citrus edged dessert wine with ripe apricot aromas and luscious, ripe fruit flavours in the mouth. Perfect with chocolates or fruit pudding!
H9 D’Oliveiras 3yr Sweet Madeira: 35cl £9.50, 70cl, £16.50 Produced by a Portuguese Madeira family. Not sticky & clawing, but sweet with a citrus edge and a long, nutty finish. You can just taste the history! Perfect with mince pies or Christmas cake. Also available in dry or medium.
H10 Graham’s Six Grapes Port, Porto, Portugal: £16.95 Graham’s best non-vintage port with grapes contributions from Graham’s six best properties. An extremely rich and fruity classic. Perfect to share after dinner or with that good local cheese!
And why not finish with a wonderful liqueur
H11 Zuidam Chocolate: £22.00 Sweet and chocolatey of course, but with a lightness not present in many liqueurs, being Dutch gin based! Pure indulgence, perfect In front of the fire when everybody’s tucked up in bed!
