JAMES UK ALWYN London Design Week marked the official relaunch of James UK, a British furniture brand that designs and manufactures signature pieces for the contract market. On show was the new Alwyn collection, comprising an armchair and compact sofa. James UK (formerly James Design UK) was set up by Northumbria University graduates James Harrison and James Kinmond in 2006. The recent restructuring has led to the formation of James UK Manufacturing Limited, trading as James UK, and HarrisonKinmond, a design studio specialising in hardwood and upholstered furniture. CGA INTEGRATION COWORTH PARK CGA Integration has completed delivery of the sound and lighting throughout the Dorchester Collection’s recently opened Coworth Park. CGA Managing Director Chris Gunton was challenged with creating excellent sound quality with minimum impact on design sensitive areas. Unobtrusive technology was key so CGA provided ceiling or plastered in speakers to minimise visual impact, and built-in radio microphone aerials in the events area. MORGAN FURNITURE SOHO On show for the first time at The Sleep Event will be Morgan’s new Soho collection created by Design Director Katerina Zachariades. Available as a two- and three-seater version, the sofa is complemented by a matching armchair and daybed. Two new dining collections will also be unveiled.
