A new spa has opened at the Es Saadi Gar- dens & Resort in Marrakech, Morocco. T e 32,000sq ſt (2,972sq m) spa is spread
over three fl oors and has been built around a 100-year-old eucalyptus tree. It is located within the resort’s 20-acre (8-hectare) pri- vate garden and is adjacent to its two hotels and 10 luxury villas. Facilities include 24 treatment rooms,
Moroccan and Indian-themed hammams, a relaxation terrace and swimming pools. T ere is also a couples spa suite with its own Moroccan hammam, twin baths for balneo- therapy, a library and a herbal tea room.
Treatments will be supplied by La Sultane
de Saba, Micheline Arcier, T alisens and Phyto and include aromatherapy, facials, hydrotherapy baths and hair treatments. Also on site will be the world’s second Dior

Spatality’s Claridges Spa Surajkund opens in India
Spa management company Spatality has opened the Claridges Spa at T e Claridges, Surajkund, India. T e spa was initially slated to open in May 2009. Peter Davis, spokesperson for Spatal-
ity, said: “Like many projects, this was delayed due to cost cutting measures and construction delays. Originally planned as a complete one phase project, the spa and some of the room inventory were instead slotted into a second phase.” Spatality has been involved with the
project since inception via its design consultation, pre-opening and technical services. T e fi rm is now providing ongo- ing management services for the spa.
New international project manager joins MSpa team
Kathryn Moore has become the new international project manager at MSpa International in T ailand. Moore will lead spa launches around
the world within the four MSpa brands: Mandara Spa, Anantara Spa, Aequalis Spa and the Individually Tailored Spa Collection. She entered the spa industry in 2003, but previously worked in mana- gerial positions for brands such as Hilton and Body Bronze.
