Editor’s comments When Colin Freeman announced he would be unable to continue producing The Bull, I along with most if not all the members of our club felt disappointed. Since becoming a member of the club I have always enjoyed receiving our bulletin. It was produced to a very high standard firstly by John Fowler and then by Colin Freeman and it was a good read enjoyed by all the members of my family. I don‘t know what made me do it but I found myself offer- ing to have a go at producing a club magazine, providing I had some help with the content and the editing. I, the barely computer literate fool, decided I would be able to do it if I bought an easy to use publishing package. For some- one like me, there is no such thing as an easy to use soft- ware package, and for many weeks I tried to get to grips with said publishing package. As the weeks went by I be- gan to panic and my blood pressure began to rise when Mike King felt he would be unable to do the editing due to other commitments.

My only experience of an Editor was the big boy I was at school with who went round bashing the other boys around the ears while yelling at them that he was The Chief ‗ED‗ITTER.

Anyway just as I was about to despair, a saviour, in the form of Colin Davies, joined our club and would you believe it worked in a business that knew a little bit about IT. Colin was approached and very soon cracked my easy to use programme and began producing all kinds of wonderful examples. Suddenly I was redundant as a producer and found myself sitting in the Editor‘s chair

All I had to do now was gather some pic- tures, stories, funnies etc. and Colin would do the rest. There was no going back. Colin had ordered enough paper, ink, binders, you name it, to produce The Bull for the next ten years. My original plan was to produce a mini ver- sion of our bulletin and call it The Bullock. I

looked at examples from other clubs and re- read the past copies of The Bull. A further rising of the blood pressure followed because they are of such a high quality with just masses of information. So what you have before you is our new load of old Bull which I hope you will enjoy read- ing. I cannot speak for the content but I know it will look very nice. Remember, this is your magazine and for future editions Colin and I would welcome your input. Let us know what you would like to see and if you are so in- clined, please pen us a few lines

Many thanks to those members who contrib- uted articles, pictures, jokes, etc if your con- tribution didn't make it this time, please do not be offended, Big decisions had to be made!
