Village Builders Closes on GHBA Benefit Home in Oakhurst at Kingwood

illage Builders’ beautiful Design Center was the ideal location for a pre-closing celebration of the company’s Greater Houston Builders Association Benefit Home. The home sold to Henry and Lisa James. The James’s purchased


Village Builder’s Benefit Home in the community of Oakhurst at Kingwood. Friendswood Development generously donated the homesite.


Attending the celebration prior to the closing were: Villager Builders representatives, Cindy Hinson, vice president of operations; Lenore Kimmel, vice president of sales; and Huguette Dishongh, Village Builders sales consultant. From Friendswood Development was Tim Fitzpatrick, community development manager. From the GHBA Benefit Homes Project Committee were Toy Wood, CEO of GHBA; Lisa Pepitone, director of membership, GHBA; Terry Swenson, director of public relations, GHBA; and Don Klein, chairman of the project and president of Chesmar Homes. Representing the mortgage company were Denito Kelly, vice president of Universal American Mortgage (UAMC) and Lisa Hughes, production manager UAMC. The James’s realtor David Meek with Leading Edge Realty was also on hand.


Henry and Lisa James were residents of Oakhurst at Kingwood and were looking within the community to purchase a home with more space. They had put their current home on the market and it sold within five days.


“We found Village Builders’ Benefit Home just a few streets over,” said Lisa James. “My husband knew immediately that it was the most beautiful home he had ever seen. The fact that, by us purchasing this home, three important charities would benefit made it even more special to us. We were so delighted to be a part of
