Livestock Hall of Fame inducts two

tremely generous in sharing their love and knowledge of livestock with oth- ers,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler. “Tat generosity influ- enced many young people in Western North Carolina to develop their own appreciation for livestock and agricul- ture, which is a tremendous legacy. “In addition, they made everyone

feel like they were part of the livestock family, and they took the time to edu- cate people who didn’t know much about the shows,” Troxler said. “Tey were true ambassadors for the livestock industry.” Worley was heavily involved in 4-H

and livestock shows at both the Moun- tain State Fair and in area county fairs.

Her two sons and four grandchildren were active in livestock shows, exhibit- ing steer, heifers, sheep and goats. In addition to the shows, she was

also involved in fundraising efforts that benefited 4-H and livestock programs. Reeves showed cattle in area shows

and was active in 4-H in the Leicester community. He served on the Judging Committee for the Mountain State Fair and District Livestock Shows. Reeves was also active on a number of boards and organizations, including the TVA Farm Family, Carolina Farm Credit and WNC Beef Cattle Commission. He was also a strong supporter of FFA.
