ciation of Concerned Citizens is throwing a fundraising shindig beginning at 6 pm on Sept. 24 at the Claxton Event Barn in the Flat Creek area. Marty Lewis, of Sons of Ralph,


will perform with his band Glady Fork, and Blue Ridge Tradition and House of Fire will also offer music. Storyteller Sheila Kay Ad- ams will share her talents. Te evening will also feature a dinner of southern barbecue with all the fixings donated by M7 Event Plan- ners. Tere will also be a silent auc- tion.

will go toward legal expenses. Te NBACC is currently fighting a libel suit by Blue Ridge Concrete and seeking to appeal a decision by the Western North Carolina Re- gional Air Quality Agency which would allow the Blue Ridge Con- crete Company to bring a con- crete plant into the residential Flat Creek neighborhood just north of Weaverville.
