Sluder graduated from basic mili- tary training from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio this summer. He also completed an intensive
Munitions Technician program Sept. 17 at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is the son of Rusty Sluder
and Deanna Constance, both of Leicester. He is the grandson of Shirley Sluder and the late Clyde Sluder, and the late Horace and Kathleen Constance. He is a 2007 graduate of Erwin
High School and a 2009 gradu- ate of the basic law enforcement training at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. Sluder will be stationed at Shaw
Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. This special to the Leader.
