New consignment store ready for business

Chrysalis Consignment in Wood- fin to give her mother, who is on dialysis waiting for a kidney trans- plant, a place to sell her handmade jewelry. As gallant as that is, King admits


there’s a fringe benefit to opening a consignment store as well. “It gives me the biggest closet I


have ever had,” she said. King comes in after another


consignment store, Mrs. B’s, closed down the Weaverville Road

space earlier this year. Her store falls in line with many


other area consignment stores, of- fering a 60/40 split with those who consign. She is currently taking fall clothes and does have limited men’s and children’s apparel as well.


King said the space also allows


her to operate her first aid and CPR company in the back. Chrysalis Consignment is open


from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. Te store can be reached at 658-8249.


Shriners yard sale


Local Shriners will host a yard sale beginning at 8 am on Sept. 18 at the old mini-mart on N.C. Hwy. 213 in Mars Hill.
