Brown was at Aabani Salon Spa on Main Street in Weaverville on Fri- day (Sept. 3). Brown was not running up any
big bills at the salon. She was re- ceiving a makeover as part of a tele- vision reality show. Te name of the show could not
be announced, but it is believed to be “On the Road with Austin and Santino,” featuring Austin Scarlett and Santino Rice, two flamboyant former designers on “Project Run- way,” as they travel the country performing makeovers for women in small towns. Brown, who runs Full Moon

Farm in Black Mountain, was se- lected from five finalists in the area
to receive the makeover. Lois Chazen at Aabani was her
hair stylist. On Saturday (Sept. 4), a fund-
raiser for Brown’s organization, Full Moon Farm, was held where Brown unveiled her new look, and cameras caught all the action. Brown started Full Moon Farm
in 1997. In 2002, it incorporated as a nonprofit organization whose mission is to rescue “wolf-dogs.” “Wolf-dogs” can be any canine that is from one to five generations re- moved from a full-blooded wolf. She has 76 wolf-dogs on her
property in Black Mountain at this time. She has had as many as 300.
