In 2010 Google laun- ched a partnership with NAACP, with sponsorship of the 101st NAACP Convention. This year we are featuring products like Google Maps and Google Earth, and the recent efforts of our Disaster Relief team to help Haiti on the road to recovery. We’re excited to continue to build on the beginnings of a long relati- onship with NAACP. ” - Nilka Thomas, Manager, Global Diversity &

It is really impor- tant for us to be here to support the good work of the educational initiatives and the other good work of the organizations.” - Pamela Alexander

“The postal service is a di- verse company. We have lots of people of color that work for the postal service and a variety of rules from senior manage- ment to the people that deliver the mail, sort the mail, mow the grass, maintain the buildings, and maintain our vehicles. So, it is very important for us to be here. Mail is very important and a valuable tool to people. People of all colors appreciate the mail. The NAACP helps show the va- lue of the postal service, which is good for our future and the future of the US.”

- Jeff Ostendorf Shipping Social Specialist, UPS

“FDIC has a presence to make people aware of the services that are available to explain about their deposit insurance and to promote a lot of the programs that we have at the FDIC like “Money Smart”. We try to provide them with information to feel comfortable to let them know that the FDIC is taking care of their funds and we are proud of our record that no one has ever lost a penny of deposits in the entire history of the FDIC.”

“Attending this conference gave us a great opportunity to network with individu- als who are interested in an opportunity in Oklahoma. We want to make sure we are allowing individuals to become familiar with whom we are and the job opportunities that we have available. The reason that we attended the event was to provide information, educate individuals on who we are and to let them know that we have opportunities within our organi- zation.”
