New Love Yoga Center in Naples A
former professional guitarist is now facilitating the relaxing, soothing movements of yoga at Love Yoga Center, a new
facility in Naples. Director Carla Olla, who toured with major music acts, will conduct a grand opening event from 2 to 4 p.m., November 6, that will feature a free mixed-level yoga class, fol- lowed by light refreshments. From 7 to 8 a.m. each Tuesday, Andrea Fouch will lead an
Early Bird flow class for all levels, with mats, blocks and blankets provided. The center will also offer classes in several yoga styles, and students can gather in the lounge to socialize and enjoy iced tea and cookies. A 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training program will begin in January. Olla, who performed with Deborah Harry, Dee Dee Ramone and 1(900) BOXX,

among others, believes in the connection between music and other art forms and yoga. She says, “Yoga can help remove creative blocks or even light a creative spark, and it teaches us to have confidence, both on the mat and in our daily lives.”

Organic Clothier to Open New Center

he local organic clothing company, Sassis, has opened an eco-fashion
showroom and lifestyle center in Naples, and will hold an open house reception from 3 to 8 p.m., October 23. Owned by Naples native Bukki Sit-
tler, Sassis is a socially responsible, eco- friendly clothing company, specializing in women’s wear, custom designs and styles for men and babies. Most styles are made from 100 percent organic fi- bers such as cotton and hemp, including the thread and labels. All manufacturing takes place in the United States, including much in Southwest Florida. The showroom carries wholesale
collections and is also open to the public. Other services include custom designing and fit and color consultation. The life- style center offers classes and workshops on diet and health, making environmen- tally friendly household cleaning prod- ucts, sewing and basket weaving. T-shirts, hand-dyed batiks and other
