Sally Cohn ’52 I auditioned with my handwhistling

for the “America’s Got Talent” show, which will run on NBC each Tuesday from 8-10 p.m., from June 1 until late September.

Paula Barner Smith ’52 Bill and I continue to enjoy our

country home of 35 years outside Wichita. In 1975 we bought a pasture with a pond in the center, plunked our house in the middle (it truly looked like “Little House on the Prairie”), and began planting trees and trees and more trees. Thirty-five years later we live in a forest with lovely views. It has been a constantly changing scene. Our three children are scattered—Minnesota,

Texas, and New York. My sister, Karen Anderson (SHH class of 1956), is only 70 miles away so we get together frequently. I am still painting, but golf has stolen much of my time the past few years, which cuts into art production. One gallery still represents me. I find that as we get older, life doesn’t

slow down but seems to speed by much too fast. There isn’t much “sitting down” time with so many things to fill the days, including taking care of our place, which is a joy, and the more rare occasions of time with our children’s young families.

Shirlee McGreer ’55 I am happily living in Pendleton

where everyone is gearing up for the 100th anniversary of the Round-Up this September. I am retired after 34 years of living in Europe as a Department of Defense employee as a guidance counselor and special education coordinator. I am enjoying getting to know Oregon and the United States!

Joanne Ehrlich Quick ’56 Joanne Ehrlich Quick is one busy

72-year-old. I spend time hospice volun- teering, doing respite care and friendly

visits. I have a home in Gresham and also a home and office in Vancouver. I take dictation and work on the computer for our business in Vancouver. My husband Al is a claims adjuster for heavy equip- ment, trucks, and trailers. My Gresham home is near my daughter, grandkids, and great-grandchildren. I belong to the Bow Tie Vette Club and also Northwest Corvette Club in Vancouver. Go to Abundant Life Church in Happy Valley. Have season tickets to the Broadway Productions at the Keller Auditorium. Daughter and grandkids take turns going with me to each performance. I have traveled much of the world with my mother and others. I sure miss my mother. I am ready for another trip and it is in the planning stage. Just thought I would share a little bit about myself in class notes. I think I am going to sign up for a belly dancing class. Looking into that subject of dance for exercise. I am looking to take a class in Photoshop at Mt. Hood Community College in the near future.
