President’s Message Well, hope you all have recovered from an action
packed 3 days in Daytona. Again many thanks to all of you who helped make the convention happen. Lisa Hinton is the best!! She does keep us all on our toes in such a caring and graceful manner. I did hear from many of our associate attendees and
guest speakers that our state has one of the best conven- tions around. What a wonderful compliment, it really doesn‘t take much to go above and beyond and the results
of doing that are definitely noticed. As I said in my little talk, I feel communication is the key to not only a
successful home life, but a successful business as well. Please, at any time, feel free to pick up the phone and call anyone of your fellow Fairs or send Lisa Hinton an email with your question and she will take it from there. We are already looking forward to hosting the Summer Workshop on
August 13 and 14 and the sessions being offered are going to be ex- tremely beneficial to all!! By the way I did go and buy some new glasses to always have with me!! Everyone have a wonderful and safe summer.
Sincerely, Jeanne Keaton, President
Message from the Executive Secretary First, I want to express my sincere appreciation as the
recipient of this year‘s Hall of Fame Award. I am deeply honored to have received this award. The Fair industry has always been a part of my life – from growing up in Dade City and showing at the Pasco County Fair, work- ing for the Florida State Fair for 23 years, and now work- ing with the Federation for the past 4 years. This is a great industry and you are an awesome group of people. Thank you for this honor. I hope that everyone enjoyed the Convention and that you took some-
thing home with you that you can use for your next Fair. The convention is certainly an opportunity to meet new people, learn new ideas, and visit with old friends. We have had a lot of positive feed-back, but we are al- ways looking for new ideas and topics – so be sure to send us any thoughts you have. I do want to personally take this opportunity to ―Thank‖ all of you that
helped to make the Convention a success. The amount of time and com- mitment that each Committee puts into their responsibilities makes it all happen. Thank You! Just like a Fair – it takes EVERYONE to make it successful! Don‘t forget to mark your calendar for August 13th – 14th and plan to
attend this year‘s Summer Workshop. Dan West, Chairman of the Sum- mer Workshop program and his committee are planning a great educa- tional session. We think you will enjoy it and learn a lot! To those of you that are finalizing the plans for your Fall Fair – good
luck! We know what a busy time this is for you! Thanks again for all your support and don‘t forget – YOU are the Fed-
eration!
