There are no deadlines, the maximum award is £200,000 but that is for activities with a national perspective, for most of us it will be half that and in most cases a great deal less. Bridging the Gap Programme (England, Scotland and Wales) – The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is inviting applications from voluntary and community organisations throughout Britain. Esmée Fairbairn Foundation – Main Fund for charitable activities of organisations that have the ability to achieve change for the better. The Trustees like to consider work which other funders may find hard to fund. The primary interests are in the UK’s cultural life, education and learning, the natural environment and enabling disadvantaged people to participate more fully in society. Mediabox is a Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) fund that gives disadvantaged young people the chance to create media projects about issues that matter to them, from film and journalism to digital media and campaigns.
The changes to ‘Mini Mediabox’ aim to encourage further youth groups and organisations from across England to take advantage of the grant. Changes include increasing the annual turnover threshold from £100,000 to £150,000 as well as accepting applications from support branches or umbrella groups.
Mini Mediabox has also opened its doors to schools and colleges, provided they are able to demonstrate that a Mini Mediabox project would provide a new, extracurricular opportunity for their students. You can apply on line and you can get an application form and guidelines by visiting W:

Faiths in Action round two is now open for applications. In round one, 216 organisations were offered grants of up to £12,000, totalling over £2.43 million. Round two is now open for applications. Faiths in Action is for local projects and activities, and is open to faith, inter faith, voluntary and community sector organisations at national, regional and local levels in England. Some parts of the UK miss out on Lottery funding; the Fair Share Programme is intended to address this issue by targeting the 77 areas. The aim of the Fair Share Programme is to: Build Capacity and Sustainability – by involving local communities in decision-making about lottery funding; Build Social Capital by building links within and between communities to promote trust and participation and to improve liveability by improving the living environment for communities. The programme is managed by the Community Foundation Network using its local giving expertise to ensure effective implementation of the £50 million UK – wide Fair Share Trust (FST) programme. Young Roots is a grant programme designed to engage young people aged 13-25 with their heritage. Young Roots projects stem directly from the interest and ideas of young people, who are supported by youth and heritage organisations to develop skills, build confidence, and connect with their local communities. Grants of £3000 to £25,000 are available and applications can be made at any time. This is a rolling programme and you will receive a decision on your application within 10 weeks.
