What are you like?

Dave Edmondson, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at St Nom - would love to go to America one day to play golf. What, with his swing?

Who are you? David Edmondson, Assistant Golf Courses Superintendent at Golf de Saint Nom la Breteche, Paris.

Status (married, single, children etc.)? I have been married to my wife Sarah for just over a year and we have a 15 month old Chocolate Labrador called Jasper (who is currently waiting for his pet passport to be processed so he can join us in France)

Who’s your hero and why? My Dad, as he has given me plenty of good advice over the years and often pointed me in the right direction.

What is your dream holiday? I would love to go to America one day on a golfing trip and experience playing some of the top courses there.

What annoys you the most? Bad motorists tend to test my patience a little.

What would you change about yourself? At this moment in time I would like to change my golf swing, as I am mighty wild with my driver!!

Who wouldn’t you like to be? A state pathologist, I couldn’t think of a more difficult job. I take my hat off to those who can do a task like this, on a daily basis.

Favourite record, and why? The Masterplan by Oasis, a classic tune that brings back a lot of memories for me.

Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? My wife Sarah of course! (The safe answer!)

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Probably keel over in shock as I don’t do the lottery but, if I did win, I would hire the Ritz at the Place de Concorde, Paris and fly all my friends and family across and party in style.

If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be? A guitar, so many different sounds from one instrument which can be adapted to whatever type of song.

What’s the best advice you have ever been given? When I was first started out in greenkeeping I was told that there are some fantastic opportunities out there if you want them, but you have to work hard, try your best and always continue to improve yourself. This advice has given me the driving force to be where I am today.

What’s your favourite smell? Walking past a patisserie in Paris, you tend to be lured in by the aroma.

The Ecosol Aero-fil System

PROVIDING STATE-OF-THE-ART AERATION AND DRAINAGE

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Ambitious, determined and organised.

What talent would you like to have? I would like to be able to speak fluent French one day very soon.

What makes you angry? People who lack common courtesy and manners, it doesn’t cost anything.

What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? Tougher jail sentences for law breaking offenders.
