This 2007 musical The Women of Brewster Place,
which is based on the novel by Gloria Naylor will be on stage at The Celebration Theatre in Hollywood. Drama Desk Award nominee Tim Acito created the music, lyrics and book for the production and adds music with a gospel and R&B flavor to the acclaimed

21ST ANNUAL GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS
This year’s GLAAD Media Awards continue to honor those in the media who have made a fair, accurate and inclusive representation of the LGBT community and the relevant issues that affect their lives. This year’s award ceremony will be held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. The evening kicks off with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner and the award ceremony at 7:00 p.m. There will be a celebrity after party immediately following the awards and cocktail attire is a must. The hosts for the event are Candis Cayne and Wilson Cruz. This year’s honorees are Wanda Sykes who will be presented with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award while Drew Barrymore is honored with the Vanguard Award for 2010. Benjamin Bratt, Elizabeth Keener, Rob Halford and Tom Ford will also make special appearances during the evening. Current law denies same-sex couples key Social
Security benefits that make up a crucial part of the safety net Americans rely on for their economic well-being in their latter years, or upon becoming disabled. This month in Los Angeles and Washing- ton D.C., participants will demonstrate outside local Social Security offices, staging a new kind of civil rights event. In each city they will fill the streets with the first-ever Rally & Rock-In. Some will sit in rocking chairs while thousands more rally behind them. Presented by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center
