SAN DIEGO GAY MEN’S CHORUS BACHELOR AUCTION

What would you pay for a date with a singing Adonis? The first “Court a Chorus

Cutie” bachelor auction promises “twinks with talent, bears with brains, muscles and mischief.” Ten of the chorus’ most eligible bachelors will be sold to the highest bidders via a live auction at Urban Mo’s in Hillcrest on Sunday, April 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is the first fundraising effort of the newly-formed SDGMC. Each bachelor sold will be paired with a fabulous prize package on a pre- planned date after the auction. Prizes include dinners for two, pairs of theatre tickets and more. After performing together in December 2009 for the first time in 17 years, the San Diego Men’s Chorus (SDMC) and the Gay Men’s Chorus of San Diego (GMCSD) merged to create the new San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus (SDGMC). For more information, call 877.296.7664 or email SDGMC at info@sdgmc.org. Visit sdgmc.org to purchase tickets to the upcoming performances,” Our House,” on Saturday, May 1 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 2, at 3:00 p.m.

Theatre and The Rage Monthly invite you to “have a little priest” at our fabulous pre-show mixer for Sweeney Todd on Wednesday, April 14. Look forward to themed foods like meat pies—made fresh by San Diego Desserts—and drinks like Bloody Marys. Thrill- ing raffle prizes supplement a charming evening that will stimulate the demon barber in all of us.

ASKING AND TELLING

Some things just need to be said. And the real-life stories behind “Don’t Ask

Don’t Tell” are among the most important. On Thursday, April 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Zable Hall, everyone is invited to come help create a safe space to engage in storytelling, panel discussions, legal updates and multimedia presentations followed by a riveting audience Q&A. Alliant International Univer- sity – Avenue of Nations is located 15 minutes north of Hillcrest via the I-15. Exit on Miramar Road/Pomerado Road and head east. Take the first right on Avenue of Nations. To R.S.V.P., visit alliantconnect.org/events/event_list.asp
