L
ady Gaga relaxed during a recent break in New Zealand by fishing. Sources say Gaga took her bodyguard and dancers to the beach to kick back between dates on her world tour. “She’s pretty eccentric, she didn’t take her heels off once,” said Jason Schwarz, Waiheke’s Goldwater Estate Vineyard’s general manager. “She went down to Onetangi beach to go fishing in her eight-inch heels, undies and a man’s business shirt – that’s it. She still had her bright yellow hair. Lady GaGa on the beach was the funniest sight. She was surrounded by surfers who couldn’t believe it was her as she as stood completely still with a long fishing rod.”
Glamorous Kylie is
top of the poll
Kylie Minogue, who turned 40 last year on May 28th, is the celeb growing old most glamorously, according to a new poll.
Almost half of those polled rated the Aussie singer above fellow 40-year-old Australian, Elle Macpherson and queen of pop, Madonna, who turns 50 in August.
The survey of more than 36,000 music fans, conducted by new celebrity barometer xRankTM, also found that Kylie is the celebrity Britons would most like to see strutting her stuff aged into her 70s. The poll also revealed that it’s not such a happy picture for some celebs, with almost a third wishing Amy Winehouse would hang up her coat and retire early before her image suffers any more blows, followed closely by Kerry Katona .
Dermot O’Leary contacted the police after receiving a threatening voicemail message containing a threat to rape Cheryl Cole. Insiders say police have launched an investigation after the X Factor presenter, who they believe actually received the calls intended for Cole in error, reported them. “The message was of a sexual, threatening and sickening nature. Dermot was horrified when he heard it,” insider claims. “He thought at first it was a sick wind- up, but soon realised there was something sinister going on. Somehow this caller has tried to get hold of her number and somehow accidentally got Dermot’s. If they were prepared to go to that effort, who knows what they would be prepared to do?” A City of London Police spokesman has confirmed they are looking into the messages. “We are investigating claims of an offensive message being left on a mobile telephone,” they explained. “It follows a complaint from a member of the public.”

Robbie Williams saved my life
Take That star helped her overcome bulimia
Geri Halliwell has credited Robbie Williams with saving her life after she developed bulimia. The Take That star, 36, recommended Ginger Spice check into the Cottonwood Du Tuscon rehab clinic in Arizona for treatment. ‘Robbie knew about my bulimia and he advised me to get help,’ Geri told Piers Morgan’s Life Stories. ‘He told me to go into rehab and that possibly saved my life. The bulimia would have got worse without it.
‘I will always be grateful to him, always... I am happy and healthy now.’ Geri, 37, had the eating disorder after quitting the Spice Girls in 1998 and dropped to 7st. ‘I became really close to Robbie after leaving the Spice Girls and it was a very poignant friendship,’ she says.
‘I was lonely and felt he was the only person on the planet who could understand me because of his experiences with Take That. We understood each other.’
Geri’s interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories
airs on ITV1 on 3 April at 9.25pm.

Who’s Kate Winslet turned to?
Actress being comforted by male pals
While we were all shocked when Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes announced they were splitting up after more than six years of marriage, none of their
mutual friends were surprised.
Orbit can reveal that Kate, 34, holidaying with her children in Mexico when the separation was confirmed, has found support from a number of male friends.
A source tells us:‘We’re convinced she’s been comforted by someone else since she and Sam hit the rocks. They never recovered.
‘Everyone’s trying to second guess who she’s got close to, but it’s difficult with Kate as she’s friendly with all her co-stars, such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Jude Law.
‘We may find out, as with her first husband Jim Threapleton, that he’s one of the crew from a film she’s working on and it’s a slow burner, like her romance with Sam.
‘There’s no suggestion of romance with anyone else, but Kate wouldn’t split with Sam unless she had her eyes on another prize.’ Well, well, well, we will have to wait and see.

P
eter Andre has admitted he is having a tattoo of Katie Price’s name removed. Andre had Katie inked on his wedding finger while they were married but has said he is already undergoing treatment to have it taken off. “I’ve been saying for quite a while now that it was time to think about removing my Katie tattoo on my wedding finger, and I’ve finally done something about it,” Andre wrote in his New magazine column. “I’m having it lasered off and I’ve had my first session already. It’ll take a few treatments to get rid of it properly, though. I’m really looking forward to it being gone.” Meanwhile, Katie’s new husband, Alex Reid, has said he has been asked to audition for a role in a new “big-budget” BBC show. Reid starred in Hollyoaks before dedicating himself to cage-fighting but has said he is keen to return to acting. “I’ve got some auditions coming up, which I’m thrilled about. One of them is for quite a big-budget BBC drama, and the director asked to see me specifically,” Reid wrote in his Star magazine column. “I do not want to get too excited yet, just because I know how this world works, but it feels really good to get the acting buzz back.”
