Fashion is flying the flag for Alice In
Wonderland. Don’t be late – it’s a very important
date!
Alice, Alice who the Tweedle Dum is Alice?
She of Wonderland, of course. Unless you’ve been hiding for the past 12 months, you can’t
have failed to notice that Alice fever has been building in anticipation of Tim Burton’s 3D cin- ematic spectacular take on the Lewis Carroll classic, which will finally be hitting a big screen near you on 5 March. And that means Alice fever has just hit, well, fever pitch.

isually lush in scale and colour, the film has proved rich inspiration for our favourite fashion brands, who have been falling over themselves to celebrate its release. In fact, a number of them have officially teamed up with Disney to do so: Stella McCart-
ney, Swarovski, Tom Binns and Anna Lou Of London have all created bespoke Alice jewellery collections, which variously feature hearts, keyholes and playing card motifs. Alice, played by Aussie newcomer Mia Wasikowska, actually wears Swarovski’s rose gold-plated Sparrow pendant in the film, making it the prize piece. Alice Temperley, meanwhile, has seized this fortuitous window of opportunity to launch dif- fusion line Alice by Temperley, the lookbook for which is laid out like a deck of playing cards and features gorgeously fun striped jersey separates, military jackets, frilled playsuits and Technicolor animal prints fit to grace the wardrobe of any Adventurous Alice. There’s also a range of Disney Couture T-shirts printed with characters from the film (loving Helena B-C’s lip snarl as the Queen Of Hearts), and, for those of you within the environs of London, there’s Claire’s, which has deliciously rebranded itself for a limited time by opening
