Roadshow reports...
With TTG On Tour resuming in June, and starting in Belfast, find out why these are indispensable events for travel agents
We’re heading to York on June 19 TTG On Tour in April
Romford, Maidstone and Croydon the same week. Chester, York, Leeds and Nottingham follow the week after. Confirmed suppliers include Sani Resort, AM Resorts, Karisma, Barcelo and Sirenis Hotels & Resorts, with more to be announced soon. Our events follow the same tried and trusted format. Agents arrive from 6pm, with time for a relaxing drink during registration. About 6.45pm we’ll start the evening’s proceedings with a welcome chat from TTG. We operate a speed-dating format, rotating agents around the supplier tables every 12 minutes. You’ll meet half the exhibitors before dinner, and the rest after. Dinner is taken over a 45-minute break when we lay on a hot food buffet. The evening then comes to a fabulous climax with an exciting prize draw, where hotel stays count among the goodies on offer.

Agent feedback from our events in April Clare Craggs, Hays Travel, Newton Aycliffe “I attended the Middlesbrough show with three colleagues including our trainee, and it was a useful and enjoyable evening. We’ve not had a
e kick off series three of our year-long tour on Monday June 11 in Belfast, moving on to
trade event in Middlesbrough for a couple of years, so it was good to see TTGin town. The speed-dating format was excellent because it ensured adequate time with all suppliers. “With the Atol reforms taking place,
it was really timely to meet the CAA. We receive email after email about the changes but they became much clearer after we had chatted about them face-to-face.
“I also learned something new from
Tunisia. I knew there are golf courses, but I didn’t know about the level of specialisation on offer for beginners and more experienced players. Sami Tounsi from the tourist board also gave us an idea of what food and drink costs in the resorts. “The Karisma Hotels table was fun – Denise Marquez is as mad as a box of frogs! And it was good to catch up with Colin Fawcus from DFDS Seaways. We
do quite a lot of groups business for them, and a little refresher never does any harm. “I was really pleased to win a prize – a trip to Tunisia! I’m hoping to take both my husband and son later this year. They can both go off and play golf together, leaving me free to sit and sunbathe!
Here’s what other agents had to say: Elaine Tyrell, Forward Travel, on Birmingham: “Good programme laid out for agents to have a taster of each exhibitor. Well done.”
