hether it’s life-changing ad- vances in the biosciences or breakthrough discoveries in

A recently launched initiative known as VaBeachBio has a goal of attracting, supporting and nurturing some of the world’s leading innovators in health- care, biotech, pharmaceutical develop- ment and healthcare delivery systems. To that end, a Bio Corridor has been established and is home to a number of regional partners – and we’re making space for the next wave of innovators.


Today, already-established local biosci- ence innovators are building on their world- class breakthroughs in diabetes, cardiovas- cular disease, neuroscience and regenerative medicine, as well as urologic health, can- cer detection and treatment, reconstruc- tive surgery and reproductive health. At the same time, there is active regional partner- ship among teaching and research medical schools, private venture capital fi rms, seven universities and colleges, healthcare com- panies and other vital resources.
