Robert “Bob” Beverly Bachman died May 5. He was born in Throckmorton on Oct. 5, 1931, to Gordon and
Edith Bachman. He served for 2 years in the U.S. Army in Korea and
completed his degree in animal husbandry at Texas Tech University in 1956. He married Barbara Day Warren in November 1956 and they settled in Graham where they raised their children. Bachman was a farmer, rancher and land manager. He was a partner in AgriVentures for almost 40 years until he retired in the mid-2000s. After Barbara’s death in 1994, he married Marianne
Brown Merrick in June 2001. His family expanded to in- clude her 4 children and spouses, Ward S. (Linda) Mer- rick, Seminole; Valda (Jerry) Buchanan, Tulsa; Frank (Debbie) Merrick, Oklahoma City; and Robert (Kellie) Merrick, Oklahoma City; and their children. Gary DiGiuseppe, 60, Maumelle, Ark., died June 1, in a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver. He was a regular contributor to The Cattleman magazine and was the morning newscaster for ‘First News with Kevin Mill- er’ on KARN. He also provided daily newscasts for The Arkansas Radio Network. DiGiuseppe was an agricul- tural reporter for 35 years and a member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) since 1983. His freelance work appears in several publications. He was formerly the farm director of the Arkansas Radio Network, with previous stops at stations and networks in Fort Dodge, Iowa; Jefferson City, Mo.; and Milan, Mich. DiGiuseppe had a bachelor’s degree from East- ern Michigan University. He served the NAFB as farm safety, market news and resolutions chairman, and as r of t e o ga

Rick Hirsch, 51, Athens, died April 24. He was born Nov. 11, 1964 in Shiner to Otto Sr. and Martha Sent-
er Hirsch. Hirsch served as the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension county agent for Henderson County for 23 years, hosting an ag radio show on KCKL, and contrib- uting to KLTV. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Bronte Hirsch,
and children Heather, Kelsey, and Grant, and numerous other relatives. Memorial donations may be made to the Henderson
