Lighting success in store for Pep&Co flagship store
E
lectrical wholesaler YESSS Electrical has supplied discount fashion retailer Pep&Co with a wide-range of lighting products
for its flagship Kettering store, as part of the brand’s UK debut. Following a competitive pitch, YESSS was chosen as the main supplier of lighting products by the value retailer. Amongst the products supplied were Hacel Skylink Elito 208 duet and Hacel Skylink mounting frame bezels with 35w MHC G8.5 840 lamps. These were used to create fully integrated ceiling rafts to light the main retail area of the shop. YESSS has since
provided the products for all of the retailer’s remaining 49 stores as part of its aggressive store roll-out programme.
YESSS was chosen
due to its ability to act quickly and its capacity to meet the stock demands set by the South African business’ plan to open 50 stores in 50 days, totalling an impressive 200,000 sq ft of retail space.
Unprecedented Simon Singleton, operations director at Pep&Co, commented: “Opening 50 stores in as many days is an unprecedented launch for a retailer in the UK and, as such, we needed to be confident that our branches would be ready to open. “YESSS was able to provide us with the products and consultancy to
ensure the design of our flagship store would impress customers as soon as they walked through the door. They also ensured that products were available for all our other branches when they needed to be and helped us deliver a smooth roll-out across the UK.” Normanton-based YESSS Electrical, established in 2012, is one of the
UK’s fastest growing companies and recently opened its 90th branch. Employing 850 staff nationwide, YESSS has plans to expand throughout 2016 to achieve a network of 150 UK branches.
