Super Swing The Z Factor Luna Park adds three new from Zamperla
Continuing its role as a showcase for products from the Zamperla catalogue, Luna Park at New York’s Coney Island has introduced three new rides from the prolific Italian manufacturer. The interactive WindstarZ attraction replicates the flight of a hang glider. Passengers control the up and down movements of their glider by operating a triangular bar in front of them, just like on the real thing, elevating them to a height of up to 6 metres (20ft) while rotating around the centre of the ride at eight times per minute. The attraction features 12 vehicles, each with two seats, and is ideal for small children and adults. Zamperla will have a fully operational example of WindstarZ at the upcoming IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando. Endeavour is a revision of the classic Enterprise, which originator Huss has released an updated design of itself recently. The Zamperla version in operation at Coney Island is trailer- mounted with 24 seats that reach 20.5 meters (67ft) in height. Two 48-seat park versions are under construction and will be installed in Ireland and the USA. Super Swing is an upgrade of Zamperla's Happy Swing ride for kids. Since the original ride
has now had more than 60 installations in six years, the company decided to create a bigger version with 16 seats that reaches a height of 5.5m (18ft). Despite of the simple movement, we are assured the ride offers a very pleasant experience with significant air time at the end of each swing.
