BA to operate Gatwick-JFK for first time since 2009

British Airways will start a daily service between Gatwick and New York JFK next spring – a route the airline last flew in 2009.
Services will start on May 1,
with economy return fares from £390, including taxes. Lynne Embleton, BA managing
director at Gatwick, said: “The new route will enable us to offer access to JFK from a third London airport.
It complements our almost hourly service from Heathrow, as well as our double-daily business-class service from London City.” Flights will depart Gatwick at 16.40, with the return departing
JFK at 22.00. BA will operate the service with a three-cabin Boeing 777 offering 40 fully-flat seats in Club World, 24 in World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and 216 in World Traveller (economy). The carrier will begin a

Vietnam Airlines adds sixth weekly flight from Heathrow
Vietnam Airlines began a sixth weekly service from Heathrow to Vietnam this week, adding a third departure to Ho Chi Minh City on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The carrier flies to Hanoi on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays and to Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
