uwww.europacomponents.com Partex UK launches PTC marker holder

and inserts New PTC marker holders and PP046 inserts are now available from Partex UK. Designed to customer specifications

and ready to be snapped onto cables, the sleeves are easy to mount and contain an integrated pocket to insert your chosen label. The holders are available in five sizes and the adjacent PP046 labels are flexible and slide seamlessly into the holders. The PTC markers come as open label sleeve holders made from Cadmium- and silicon-free rigid PVC in the sleeve body and soft PVC in the transparent pocket. The flame retardant material is rated V-0 according to UL94, the Standard for Safety of Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances testing. The holder top has an integrated label tag pocket in soft, transparent material, making it easy to

insert customised identification labels. The sleeve holder has rigid barbs to keep an efficient holding force against the outer cable/wire insulation. This enables fast snap on mounting but still with kept readjustments for best readability. The label pocket has an oval shape when depressed from top. This makes the insertion of the label quick and easy. When pressure is released, the label is held automatically and safely in position. The markers can be used in virtually any industrial application, from -40 to 60C.

Wieland’s gesis NRG speeds up retail

fit-outs and re-fits Combining the advantages of busbar with the benefits of flexible cables, Wieland Electric’s gesis NRG flat cable system is ideal for installing power distribution and lighting control in retail applications. All components are delivered pre-assembled.

To provide a tap-off, at any point along its length, the flat cable is inserted into the tap-off adapter base plate, the adapter housing closed, the contact screws tightened and the cover closed. All components have fixing holes in their base

plates. An end piece, which protects the cut end of the cable, does not require elaborate stripping and separating of the phases to insulate the installation. The cable is simply cut off with a special cutting tool and put into the end piece. There are three flat cable variations: PVC with

a cross-section of 5 x 2.5 mm² and halogen-free with 5 x 2.5 and 5 x 4 mm², each has a variant for power (3-phase) and power + dimming (1-phase plus dimming signal). The outer geometry of the cables is identical, so that all components fit both cable cross-sections. Additional flexibility comes from the ability to

connect flat cable tap-in and tap-off adapters to Wieland’s GST18 system anywhere on the flat cable without cutting and stripping. Contacts are made by means of insulation-piercing screws.
