HO — Tangent Scale Models recently added new paint schemes to its col- lection of HO-scale Pullman-Standard 4,750-cubic-foot covered hoppers. The fully assembled three-bay hopper is available in CSX (ex-Family Lines let- tering with patched CSXT reporting marks), COOP – Far-Mar-Co (with sep- arate logo placards), Foster Farms, Il- linois Central Gulf (as-delivered 1979), and Rio Grande (as-delivered 1974 in orange with “action road” lettering). In this release, Tangent produced addi- tional examples of two Chicago & North Western models (green as-delivered 1974 and faded-to-blue 1990s). These highly detailed HO-scale repli-
cas include road-specific attributes for each paint scheme such as five differ- ent brake systems, three different bot- tom outlet gates, two different roof hatch styles, and four jacking pad variations. Other road-specific details include two
different roof walkway overhang lengths, five brake wheel housing and clevis op- tions, and three different running board and coupler crossover and end ladder options. This new group of HO-scale Pullman- Standard 4750 hoppers sells for $44.95 each. Custom modelers will find new stock of assembled models in primer gray equipped with 1974 brakes, Mor- ton-style running boards, and coupler crossover platforms. Tangent Scale Models sells this and its other HO-scale freight cars direct and through select hobby dealers. Tangent provides quan- tity discounts for multiple model pur- chases. Multiple road numbers are in- cluded for all schemes.
