Social media is free to
use, so if you’re starting out – play! Experiment - try out new sites; claim yourself or your organization so no one else can and play. Don’t worry, you won’t break the internet – people have tried and failed. To utilize social media
well, however, does require an investment of time. Post original content regularly, respond to followers and share interesting content. Pick one or two mediums and use them well – Rome wasn’t built in a day and nei- ther will your social media presence. Take your time and follow people and orga- nizations that you know use it well and you’ll be on your way to building your own so- cial media persona. Best of luck, and we’ll see you on the interwebs. #newbie
