At both the 2003 and 2007 Pan Ameri- can Games, the USA Shoot- ing Team was also the top medal fi nisher with 22 med- als. Over the past three Pan American Games, no other country has earned more than nine medals in the shooting competition.

McPhail, who represents the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (US- AMU), was a Pan Am Games Champion in 2011 and Run- ner-Up in 2007. Having best- ed the world in the last two World Cup events in Prone,
