Vietnam axes visas for five nationalities for one year Vietnam will drop visas for visitors from the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain staying fewer than 15 days from July 1 until June 30 next year. Cyprus authorities play down foiled child abduction Authorities in Cyprus have played down reports of a foiled abduction attempt of children at the Anastasia Beach Complex, near Protaras. for Royal Ascot Carnival Cruise Line hosted 50 agents on Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot. The frontline agents had secured their attendance in the line’s Race for your Place booking incentive. The group was hosted by Carnival’s managing director for UK sales, Iain Baillie, and his team of Jose Martin, Hannah Beagley and Mandy Hagel. Each agent received a bottle of bubbly and a betting voucher. Baillie said: “It was the second year of this agent incentive and it was an overwhelming success, with many new and existing partners booking Carnival to win a place at Royal Ascot. It was a thank you for the support we receive.”
Cook and bereaved parents join forces for campaign The parents of two children who died of carbon monoxide poisoning while on a Thomas Cook holiday in Corfu are now supporting the travel company to raise awareness of the dangers of the gas.
