Excitement builds for the Electrical Wholesaler Awards 2015 T
he Electrical Wholesaler Awards are gathering momentum and our
congratulations go to everyone who has been shortlisted in the wholesaler categories (see page 33), which were judged last month. Don’t forget, there is still time for you to vote in the manufacturer/supplier categories. Voting closes on March 31st, so make sure you visit
www.electricalwholesalerawards.co.uk to make your voice heard. It couldn’t be simpler. Having checked out what’s happening on
Twitter, there’s a great deal of talk about the awards and it is good to see wholesalers flagging up their shortlist status and, of course, suppliers encouraging wholesalers to vote. Now into their second year, the awards have truly been embraced by the industry and we are looking forward to welcoming you to the Electrical Wholesaler Awards Gala Dinner on May 14th at The Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London. You can book your tickets online by visiting the website address above. Events such as this cannot be achieved without an enormous amount of support and goodwill from the industry. And we are delighted that so many of the industry’s big names are backing the 2015 awards. We are extremely proud to be supported by such recognised and respected organisations. This month, we welcome new sponsor,
Philips, who join our other sponsors, Luckins, BEG Luxomat, Contactum, Eland Cables, Lyvia

Electrical Ltd, One Electrical, Electrorad, Schneider Electric, Knightsbridge, Selectric, Electrical Times, Voltimum and the Electrical Industries Charity. On February 10th, I joined fellow judges and our Sales/Event Manager, Mike Gammon, to judge the wholesaler categories. Our thanks go to Eddie Embleton, Sales &
Marketing Manager, Voltimum; Jill Nadolski, Operations Manager, Electrical Industries Charity and Richard Pagett, Managing Director, Aria PR, for being on the judging panel and for giving up so much of their time. Their wise words and experience was invaluable. It was clear that many of our entrants had
put a great deal of effort into their submissions and there were some that stood head and shoulders above the rest (you will have to wait until May 14th to find out who!). The level of interest and participation in this
year’s awards has certainly increased since the inaugural awards in 2014. I hope to see you at this year’s awards night.
It will be quite a party! Have a good month and enjoy this month’s
issue.
