MoPowered & SaleCycle join forces

mcommerce solution provider, MoPowered will be working with SaleCycle – a specialist in remarketing – to help retailers ensure they have mobile optimised emails that link through to a mobile optimised website when reconnecting with customers to recover lost sales. With 70% of customers abandoning their online shopping

carts and almost a third of traffic to retail websites coming from mobile devices, this new partnership is set to enhance remarketing campaigns and improve the mobile customer shopping experience. Te combination of SaleCycle’s On-Site and Email Remarketing tools and MoPowered’s mobile commerce ‘Software-as-a-Service’ (SaaS) solution, is expected to lead to increased conversion rates and sales for retailers through the mobile channel. Chris Sheen, head of marketing at SaleCycle comments:

“Mobile is a huge part of our clients’ immediate and long-term strategies and everything we do for them in terms of remarketing is focused not just around the single desktop experience but also when their customers are on the move. Te key for our clients is that their customers are able to buy online wherever they are in their daily journey; a good mobile experience when they click on a remarketing email is a fundamental part of that process. MoPowered is one of the market leaders in delivering a robust and seamless mobile web experience and we are looking forward to working with them to the benefit of our mutual clients.” Ali Wood, Head of Channel at MoPowered, adds: “With online

cart abandon rates as high as they are, and mobile now the primary channel for retailers to re-engage with customers, it is important that any remarketing campaign reflects these growing trends. If not, retailers risk customers having a bad mobile experience, which could cause long-term damage to their brand’s reputation.

Sports Direct Accelerates International Expansion Strategy

Sports Direct, the leading sport’s retailer in the UK with branches across Europe, has extended its relationship with Easynet in order to support its international growth plans. Since 2009 Easynet has provided managed connectivity for

Sports Direct’s retail network, which consists of more than 500 outlets in the UK and shops in over 19 countries (Belgium, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Austria and Slovenia) on the continent. Te retailer has grown significantly in recent years, especially in mainland Europe, through organic growth and acquisition. Its future strategy is to expand into all major EEA countries over the next 3 to 5 years, and these international growth plans are reliant on the timely delivery of a specific network set-up applicable to all of their retail stores. Te network set-up delivered by Easynet is complex, entailing specific connectivity links to Sports Directs regional headquarters, as well as a fully managed ‘wires only’ MPLS service with SNMP access support, which is used to proactively monitor the technical performance of the service. “We chose to continue our collaboration with Easynet

given their proven track record in our sector, as well as with us. Tey have proved that they are capable of resolving our business challenges by creating flexible and innovative solutions. Furthermore they are one of the few global managed service providers that can deliver a managed ‘wires only’ MPLS service with SNMP access support. One of the conditions for contract renewal was the requirement for excellent levels of service delivery. Tis is important to us as our acquisition plans demand a speedy roll-out of business critical applications into the new businesses,” explains Nick Denton, Head of IT Infrastructure at Sports Direct.
