TOOLS New torque tools from Hazet-Werk
Hazet-Werk has extended its torque technology product range, System 6000 CT, with a new torque wrench for transferring high torques.
W T
eighing only 5kg and measuring 1,143mm in length, Hazet-Werk says its new torque wrench, product number 6297-1CT, has been designed for a reliable transfer of high torque values from 300Nm – 800Nm.
The new model also has a round socket holder – strengthened
from 21mm in the front area to 26mm in the rear area. Different socket tools can be replaced quickly and easily due
to a quick change device with locking pin. The release accuracy tolerance of the scale value is ± 4% (in the direction of actuation), and the graduation of the scale is 2.5Nm. The actuating force is between 26.8kg and 72.6kg depending on the torque set. Supplementary to the torque wrench, which is predominantly used in workshops and industrial environments, Hazet-Werk ring shell tools of the 6630 A series are now also available in six wrench sizes from 32mm – 46mm.
Norbar launches new T-Box XL
Norbar Torque Tools has launched its new torque data management instrument, T-Box XL, which it says offers customers a more accurate and faster data management system to record results for the purpose of control, monitoring and traceability.
-Box XL has a number of functions and is designed to be user-friendly with the option of using it as a handheld device or bench mounted. T-Box XL builds on the previous T-Box instrument but now features a 7 inch high definition
colour touch screen and upgraded processor that allows for faster synchronisation with the supplied Torque Data Management (TDMS) PC software. Norbar says both the T-Box XL and TDMS software are more user-friendly and will capture and manage torque data either from the laboratory or production processes. The new instrument functions in twelve languages; has all
common torque units; pre-loaded tool calibration templates; and a large memory for results storage. In addition to this, the T-Box XL also features a USB interface that connects to a computer allowing the supplied TDMS software to provide the archiving of test, calibration and graphical results. A further USB connection
on the front of the instrument allows for the connection of ancillary devices such as barcode scanners and keyboards. T-Box XL features eight different tool measurement modes and
is pre-loaded with templates for the entire Norbar product range of torque wrenches. This enables the user to simply assign individual tools to perform calibrations to the relevant ISO standard. Templates also exist for all torque tools covered by ISO 6789:2003 and other templates can easily be created by the operator. Philip Brodey, sales and marketing director for Norbar Torque
Tools, said: “The T-Box XL can be used for sophisticated joint profile analysis and other applications in which it is vital to understand torque vs time or torque vs angle relationships such as valve actuation.”

variety of models are available including BDS, CDS, DDS and EDS, which give a wide torque range of 0.8Nm – 2,000Nm. Each model has the option of an audio visual signal system. For work in electrostatically sensitive areas, the ADS models are also available and are EPA compliant. Torqueleader points out that the wrenches ease of use and robust design ensures years of
