Stage Sound Services has purchased several Rosendahl products from HHB that are being used for major theatre productions. The MIF4 is a popular professional midi timecode interface with video sync reference input and USB port, balanced LTC in/out and large LED timecode display. Stage Sound Services' sound and video expert Huw Semmens comments: “The MIF4 is used as Timecode input devices for our Catalyst video playback systems. They’re also sometimes used as simple timecode readout displays and Timecode to MTC converters. We currently have a pair of them on Charlie and The Chocolate Factory at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and Dirty Dancing in Germany, both as inputs for catalyst systems.”
Rosendahl’s latest NanoclockGL has also been hired by London’s Trafalgar Studios. NanoclockGL functions as a master clock, a distribution amp with redundant seamless switch over functionality, or genlock synchronizer for video SD/HD and audio wordclock/AES11 reference signals. Semmens explains: “Trafalger’s PE liked the simplicity of it - big selection buttons for the clock rate and green/red status of connected devices.”
Rob James praised Nanoclocks GL in his Resolution Magazine review stating: “This unit covers the bases well. It is clear and simple to use and does exactly what is expected. If you need an audio clock generator/distributor for use in a video environment Nanoclocks GL must be on your list.”
