classroom and practical ap- plication. USA Shooting will be developing such training segments in 2015 that will lead to an advanced coach certifi cation. We have a network of
Certifi ed Training Centers (CTC) that are a good start in developing regional cen- ters of excellence. These advanced clubs provide coaching expertise and com- petition opportunities. Our investment to date has been small. Going forward we will provide increased emphasis on our CTCs resulting in re- gional centers that develop athletes by augmenting the Olympic Complex and the United States Army Marks-
manship Unit. As we build for future
success, we welcome your questions, dialogue and sug- gestions. Toward that end, we will be offering a survey to a sampling of our mem- bership including athletes, coaches and supporters. We will not only be looking for your thoughts on how we can continue to be leaders in Olympic shooting but also how we are doing in meeting your needs as our shooting sport’s governing body. We ask that you respond if you receive a survey. Also please know that your thoughts are always welcome. Let’s work together in building our foun- dation for future success!

During his distinguished career he served as pistol coach, team captain, assistant manager and team manager of sev- eral USA Shooting Teams including the 1984 and 1996 Olympic Team. Vincent helped recruit USA Shooting legend Ruby Fox onto the U.S. Army Reserve Pistol Team in 1974 and would be with her on the day she earned the Olympic silver medal in Los Angeles. “When it’s one of your
people and the American fl ag goes up, it makes you even more proud,” he said in a 2004 interview in the Amarillo Globe-News. “We had three of them go up in ‘84.” He attended the National
Masters Shooting competi- tion for 29 years in Camp Perry, Ohio. He competed in the championships from 1955 to 1979. He was in- strumental in the fi rst wom- an shooter in the competi- tion and the trophy that is given to the champion wom- an to this day is the Vincent Trophy.
