For safety reasons children must not be left unattended on board when going ashore.

WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?

We welcome guests with special needs. Guests who have mobility impairments should travel with someone who will take responsibility for any assistance needed during the cruise and in the event of an emergency.

We have a number of staterooms per ship that are wheelchair accessible with grab rails in the bathrooms, lower sinks and toilets, shower seats, raised beds, adjustable hanging rods in wardrobes, tilting mirrors and extra wide doors for easy access.

If you do use a wheelchair, you must bring your own and it must be collapsible#

. If you do not wish to bring

your own wheelchair on board, please contact our U.S.-based supplier Special Needs at Sea on 001 954 585 0575 to arrange delivery of one to the ship. All wheelchairs and scooters must be stored in your stateroom; they cannot be left in the hallway or any other public area. All guests who require medical equipment to be brought on board must advise Norwegian Cruise Line before sailing. Failure to do so may result in equipment not being cleared before departure. To ensure the safety of our guests and crew, wheelchairs may not be used to transfer from the ship to a tender. Guests in wheelchairs may consequently not be able to participate in certain activities or shore excursions in tender ports.

Our latest ships also have electrical hoists for access to the pools and hot tub. And, if you feel like a flutter, lower gaming tables and slot machines are available in our on-board casinos. For our younger guests using wheelchairs, we have wheelchair ramps or lifts so that facilities in our Kid’s and Teen’s centres are easily accessible.

#Please note Norwegian Cruise Line only accepts certain kinds of wheelchairs on board due to ship safety, for more details please check http://www.ncl.co.uk/guests-with-special-requirements.

For hearing-impaired guests, we have staterooms with vibrating alarm clocks and an indicating light system alerting guests to fire alarms. For the vision- impaired, we allow registered guide dogs on all Norwegian Cruise Line ships (airline and international quarantine restrictions may apply and should be checked before booking your cruise). Many Norwegian Cruise Line ships have Braille indicators and audio deck announcements in the lifts, as well as stateroom numbers in Braille and closed captioning TV.

Guests who need oxygen or require oxygen therapy are welcome on all Norwegian Cruise Line ships; however, you must supply your own oxygen. U.S.- based Special Needs at Sea is the only company allowed to deliver and supply oxygen to Norwegian Cruise Line ships. Let us know at the time of booking that you’ll be bringing oxygen on board, then contact Special Needs at Sea at 001 954 585 0575 to arrange delivery to the ship.

Any physical challenge or medical condition that requires special treatment or attention must be reported to Norwegian Cruise Line at the time of booking. For certain conditions we ask for medical declaration and liability forms.

Due to unpredictable circumstances at sea, Norwegian Cruise Line must reserve the right to refuse or revoke passage to anyone who, based upon objective standards, is in a physical or mental condition that jeopardises the safe operation of the vessel, who poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others or who may require care beyond that which Norwegian Cruise Line can provide.

For guests with diabetes, refrigerators suitable for storing insulin are available in all staterooms except Studios (category T1).

If you are on a low calorie diet, breakfast, lunch and dinner menus feature low calorie, haute cuisine dishes. Sugar-free and fat-free desserts are also available. Gluten-free, lactose-free, sodium-free, Kosher and dairy-free diets can also be catered for and must be requested at least two months before your cruise. For further information see www.ncl.co.uk.

WHAT IF I’M PREGNANT?

Norwegian Cruise Line will make every effort to accommodate you. However to ensure your medical safety you must complete all travel before the 24th

week

of pregnancy. A medical certificate establishing your due date and fitness to travel is required prior to the cruise. Please be aware that Norwegian Cruise Line will not be liable if you are denied boarding at the port nor will we be responsible or liable for any complications of pregnancy that occur during the cruise.

WHICH VACCINATIONS MIGHT BE NECESSARY?

At the time of printing, no vaccinations were required for any of our destinations, with the exception of a yellow fever vaccination required for those guests planning to participate in an excursion to Machu Picchu/Cusco. Since recommended immunisations and other health precautions often change, we suggest that you contact your GP or your travel clinic in time before departure.

WHAT IS ONLINE CHECK-IN?

In order to comply with government regulations covering departure manifests, be sure to register online through our website (www.ncl.co.uk) after you have paid in full and before you leave on your Norwegian Cruise Line holiday. We strongly recommend guests to complete their Online Check-In at least four days before sailing, as otherwise they may be subject to an extended check-in procedure at the cruise terminal or may even be denied boarding.

WHAT DOES MY CRUISE FARE INCLUDE?

Your cruise fare pays for your accommodation, meals and all entertainment unless part of a dining entertainment production aboard the ship as well as all government fees and port taxes. Also included in the cruise fare are coffee, tea, water and iced tea during meals as well as certain juices during breakfast. The speciality restaurants have à la carte pricing or a cover charge of between $15 and $49 per person (charges are subject to change) and à la carte

pricing for special menu options (see pages 8/9 or visit www.ncl.co.uk).

Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, spa and beauty treatments, use of the spa facilities and bowling alleys, casino play, shore excursions, certain fitness classes, on-board seminars, dry cleaning and laundry, purchases in our shops on board as well as from Dolce Gelato on Breakaway-Class ships, Carlo‘s Bake Shop cakes and pastries, photographs, ship-to- shore-phone, e-mail, internet, faxes as well as the service charge and gratuities are not included. Please note that in order to comply with Spanish and Italian tax regulations we are required to charge Spanish/Italian VAT on applicable retail items purchased on board on cruises from/to Barcelona, Venice and Civitavecchia (Rome), as well as on all other cruises whilst the ship is in Spanish or Italian waters.

Before or on the first day of your cruise, you can purchase our Soda, Wine & Beer (Corks & Caps) or Ultimate Beverage Package for unlimited drinks as specified by the package throughout the entire cruise. For further package terms and conditions please contact us.

If you have purchased a Fly-Cruise package, economy flights and transfers between the airport, hotel (where applicable) and ship are also included. Check your chosen itinerary for full details. See page 98 or visit the website for more information.

CAN I PRE-BOOK MY SEAT FOR THE FLIGHTS?

Sorry but due to the nature of the Fly-Cruise booking, seats will only be allocated at check-in, so get there early to ensure you get that window seat! Only fully fit and able-bodied passengers may occupy exit row seats. These seats may therefore only ever be assigned at the discretion of the airline at check-in. Due to the configuration of the aircraft, it may not always be possible to obtain seats together. Norwegian Cruise Line has no control over the allocation of airline seats and cannot guarantee seat requests.

ON BOARD

WHEN CAN I BOARD THE SHIP?

Arrival at the Cruise Terminal: For your comfort and convenience, we recommend that guests do not arrive at the cruise terminal more than one hour prior to the scheduled embarkation time printed on their cruise documents.
