PRODUCT UPDATE Positioning equipment ECR4040AP rotator
Attocube has released the rotator ECR4040AP, which enables endless rotation both clockwise and anticlockwise with torques up to 2Ncm.
The bearing-based design offers good stability in combination with high-precision piezo technology.
Specifically designed for optical experiments, the ECR4040AP features a ½-inch aperture in the rotator centre. With a total footprint of 40 x 40mm and a standardised mounting pattern the outer design of this rotator matches the dimensions of standard optical equipment and components such as breadboards and cage plates.
P-630 stages
Physik Instrumente (PI) has launched a product line of linear nanopositioning systems, the P-630 stages. The stages are ideal for a range of applications including use in sensor heads or precision motion of objects in optical and tactile metrology, as well as for microstructuring. With travel ranges up to 80µm and a direct piezo actuator drive, the compact positioning stages reach high scanning frequencies and settling times of a few milliseconds. At a width of 50mm, their clear aperture is relatively large with a diameter of 30mm.
The drive technology of the systems is based on all-ceramic insulated Picma piezo actuators. They have a proven longer lifetime and higher reliability than conventional polymer-insulated actuators.
The P-630 stages achieve nanometre- precise positioning accuracy and stability is using an integrated capacitive position sensor. Optimum control properties are ensured via the high-performance single-channel E-709. CHG motion controller. Its technology allows for refined linearisation algorithms; the operating parameters can be optimised via software.
