INNOVATION The company is continuously looking at innovative ways to develop new and better solutions for the detection and classification of vehicles, to charge and collect tolls and other services. It pro- vides the analysis of data collated from the cameras and using it to help agencies make decisions to benefit the road user. The flexibility of new and emerging ANPR technology can leverage not only the camera technology for image pro- cessing, but also use enterprise software to turn data into valuable intelligence for decision-makers across multiple ITS markets. These have included exhibiting at The Route to Smarter Cities Conference earlier this year and at Intertraffic in Amsterdam in March. 3M will also be running two seminars on the key issues surrounding traffic management as well as creating a dedicated new website. The compa- ny’s sales team has also been expanded with the recent appointment of a new National Sales Manager and Business Development Manager to drive the busi- ness forward. These and future initiatives will help strength and build upon 3M position in the ITS market.
