NOTEBOOK Foundation supporting Junior Nationals with parent perk

The USA Volleyball Foundation, estab- lished in 1995, serves as a support organiza- tion for USA Volleyball and its Regional Volleyball Associations. “While USA Volleyball has benefi tted from strong membership and diligent administra- tion over the years, we are here to take things to the next level,” USA Volleyball Director of Development Tim McCune said. As part of that escalating commitment, the Foundation will host Parent Hospital- ity Rooms at both of USAV’s signature Junior National Championship events. The USAV Girls’ Junior National Championships hospitality room will be open June 25-28 in Minneapolis, while the USAV Boys’ Junior National Championships hospitality room will be available June 30 to July 3 in Houston. The hospitality room will allow parents to take a break from the stress of the tourna- ment in a comfortable environment. The setting will be a perfect escape for parents as their child prepares for upcoming matches. In the hospitality room, parents and coaches will have their very own get-away location

“The Mission of the USA Volleyball Foundation is to develop monetary support that is directed to the devel- opment, growth and sustainability of the sport of volleyball in the United States. The Mission is accomplished through the engage- ment of generous private donors and the long-term investment of Foundation assets.”

with comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, various snacks and beverages, a lounge area and much more! The parents can come and go as needed to watch the matches and participate in team functions. They will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Foundation and what it is striving to accomplish. Part of the Foundation’s success to date has been due, in part, to the philanthropic support from many parents of our junior athletes. The Parent Hospitality Room, which started last year at the USAV Boys’ Junior National Championships, is a way of saying thank you to all the parents and coaches for the support of their athletes and the sport of volleyball. The Foundation has the task of support- ing the programs of USAV and its Regions. One of the more recent ways in which the Foundation has accomplished this has been in the form of a grant made to USA Volleyball’s SafeSport Initiative.
