Beauty matters
Noella Gabriel, Director of Product and Treatment Development at Elemis, tells us more about her life’s passions in and away from the beauty industry.
I ended up in the beauty industry because…Ofmy passion for the skin and body and understanding how it functions. Inmy early days I opened up my own salon and after completing a nutrition and beauty course,my love of the industry began.
If Iwasn’t in the beauty industry I would... Be a classical singer.
The best thing aboutmy job is... The people Iworkwith.
An average day forme is…Iwould startwith getting up early for amorning swimat 6.30amand then takemy daughter Kate to school before heading to the office. As soon I arrive, I have a meetingwithmy PA to discuss the day’s schedule and then touch basewith the sales team, highlighting the daily targets and do a pep talk to get everyone ready for the day.
Iwould then have ameetingwith the NewProduct Development teamwhich can take about two-three hours, finalising the product developments of 2015 and newformulations. I could then be on an international conference call for PRwith a journalist, training the Elemis therapists on newproducts and developments or be in a strategymeeting in the afternoon for our retailer to
premiumaccounts. My direction runs acrossmany divisions, so no two days are ever the same.
