Beyond basic access to the park, what other services do you offer as part of your ticketing products? SL – Gone are the days where parks are just selling general admission products. Our customers are pushing the envelope with products combining admission, stored value, food items, retail items and more. These packaged experiences offering a greater value to the guest, while significantly increasing the park’s per cap spending. IM – Starting with the ticket validation at the gate/turnstile to individual ride entries, food and beverage sales, merchandise sales, lockers etc, we have built our Parafait system to integrate all aspects through the same ticket. We have combined this with robust CRM (customer relationship management), allowing users to register customers, launch promotions, do the SMS/e-mail blasts, set up discounts for repeat customers, develop membership programs, etc. JD – Our BOS software is designed to sell general admission tickets, show tickets, assigned seating tickets, memberships, season passes, retail items, food and beverage and gift cards/stored value cards.
Three in focus
Several months ago the folks from Atlantis Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas approached Gatemaster Systems to integrate its ticketing software with its existing Agilysys hotel management software. The end result allows guests to charge admission tickets from the on-site Aquaventure waterpark and merchandise with the swipe of their room card. This can be done at of Gatemaster’s point-of-sale stations and unattended kiosks located throughout the resort. Additionally, the guest’s age and other identifying information is confirmed to the operator, saved them having to scan their passport or other ID.
OmniTicket Network already boasts a client base of over 400 clients in 25 countries, from theme parks and waterparks to, museums, events and exhibitions. Recently the company provided bespoke, themed access control options for two different waterparks. At
Dollywood’s Splash Country in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, OmniTicket supplied an interactive turnstile with the ability to display custom messages and graphics, meanwhile

Following successful installations at the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Syx Automations was invited by Royal Museums Greenwich in London to provide ticketing to the National Maritime Museum, home to the world famous Cutty Sark. Set within the historic buildings that form part of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, which also incorporates the Royal Observatory and 17th-century Queen’s House, RMG’s requirements were complex. Syx installed 22 point-of-sale units facilitating ticket and membership sales including school and event bookings. Members receive an exclusive personalised card enabling them to book tickets and events online and gain fast track entry into exhibitions. Hand held scanners, pedestals and gates ensure secure and fast entry into the venues.
