Innovative cable products
The highlight of the Provertha stand will be the new M12 field assembly, with crimp turned contacts, IP67 rated, D-code (4 pin) and A-code (5 and 8 pin) connectors for fast and reliable Ethernet connections. The new crimp connectors are claimed to be ideal for railway applications which require a robust and safe connector. Containing only a few parts and featuring a simple snap- in insertion of contacts, it provides secure assembly and supports all standard cable types for railway applications. These are also available for the standard Profinet cable in industrial automation systems. In addition there will be the new QuickMount D-sub full metal hoods providing simple and fast field assembly. All screws used are pre-assembled and captive. As an alternative Provertha will be presenting its Quick Lock D-sub full metal and metallised plastic hoods with the unique “quick lock” locking system.
These hood series devices are particularly suitable for applications where high vibration is an issue and assembly space is a problem. The new DIN rail adapter (compact and special) was designed specifically for the rail industry.
Interconnect specialist
KEC promises to have several new products on display, plus key exhibits from its existing range for rail industry applications. The focus will be on its own-brand KEC backshells (KC2000 range) and KEC glands (KG range) for fibre-optic cables, Provertha M12 connectors and Quick Lock and die- cast backshells for ‘D’ type connectors, Fastener Specialty nut plates and Supertube conduit systems. KEC’s in-house interconnection design and assembly service will also be featured.
Among new products will be wire clips, the KCS2800 backshell and the new Provertha 8-pin M12.
